On 13 November, Consul-General Li Dong called on Mr David Reynolds, Chief Executive of the Department for Trade and Investment (DTI), the Government of South Australia, to exchange views on the economic and trade cooperation between China and South Australia. Deputy Consul-General He Jiangchuan attended the meeting.

Consul-General Li spoke positively of the work done by DTI to promote practical cooperation between China and South Australia and hoped that the two sides would maintain close contact and explore new possibilities of cooperation in addition to the traditional areas of collaboration.

Mr. Reynolds introduced the recent development of South Australia's cooperation with China. He looked forward to strengthening interactions at all levels with China and collaboration on projects, especially with its sister province in China, to provide impetus for China-South Australia relations.
