The Consulate-General of China in Adelaide promoted the 2nd China International Import Expo

On January 25th, South Australian Branch of the Australia Asian Chamber of Commerce and Industry held the 2nd China International Import Expo (CIIE) promotion conference. More than 50 representatives from the Department of Trade, Tourism and Investment of South Australia, the Australia China Business Council, the Adelaide Branch of Bank of China and local businesses attended the meeting. Consul Wei Zhang and Vice Consul Chen Xin from the Consulate-General of China in Adelaide attended the meeting.

Mr. Zhang focused on the importance of holding the CIIE, the business opportunities brought by the Chinese market, the achievements of the 1st CIIE and the progress of the preparations for the 2nd one. He also mentioned that the Chinese Consulate-General will provide necessary support and assistance to exhibitors from South Australia.

In his speech, Quentin Bai, Director (China) of the Department of Trade, Tourism and Investment (DTTI) reviewed the participation of South Australian enterprises in the 1st CIIE, and said that the DTTI will continue to help South Australian enterprises to participate in the 2nd one this year.

The Australian Asian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Bank of China Adelaide Branch and representatives of exhibitors shared their experiences and feelings of participating in the 1st CIIE and their prospects for the 2nd CIIE.
